COMMENTARY ON NEXRAD HOAX THREAD

This page includes excerpts from a forum discussion I had with someone who believes that radar anomalies have some significance beyond radar failures. In this page I answer many of his comments and theories that I chose not to respond to in the actual discussion in the hopes of not offending him and obtaining some answers from him regarding his radar theories. That did not happen so, on this page, I will address issues that I did not actually address in the original debate.

Please note that most of his comments aren't specifically about the radar anomalies. In fact, he pretty much ignored my study, said the radar anomalies weren't very important, and seemed to want to focus on other aspects of his theory. Of course, if radar anomalies aren't very important one would wonder why they play such a prominent part on his website which is, in fact, called RadarMatrix.

If you wish to read the original, unedited debate, you can view it here. Other comments to which I have responded which weren't a part of this original thread have their original source cited.

If you just want the short and sweet answers to whether these wild NEXRAD theories are true, just click on the Wild Hoax FAQ.

The text that is indented and in Red was originally posted by the webmaster of RadarMatrix.com, Electricmojoman. My responses follow. Please note that these responses were not part of the original debate, but are presented here to answer some far-out claims and beliefs that were mentioned in the original thread but which I refrained from arguing. The excerpts are from multiple posts throughout the thread.

  • From this message (Sat Feb 7, 2004 2:12 pm)

I am no scientist and I base my views on Facts, Patents, Documents and my common sense. Much of my views are also based on 3 years of observation. DAILY!

Unfortunatey, his idea of what a "fact" is is quite different than most people. The patents and documents he refers to are a mish-mash of conspiracy theory pulling in assorted patents when convenient, and ignoring the fact that virtually anything under the sun can and is patented--including things that don't work. His form of common sense is only common among conspiracy theorists.

First would be that he does recognize that the government has been trying to change weather for sometime now! At this point I should not have to provide the documentation because it is on my site and I assume he has seen them. This question alone will make or break him because it is the Pandora's box of common sense!

Second would be that he recognizes the Patents for HAARP and how they are used to interact with the Ionosphere and to create Ionospheric mirrors.

HAARP is the High Frequency Active Auoral Research Program. The patents he is talking about are patents such as this one filed on May 17, 1990 by Peter Koert and assigned to APTI, Inc. This patent does talk about creating "artificial ionosperic mirrors" (AIMs) and that is what HAARP studies.

This is based on the well-known phenomenon that on certain nights it is possible for someone in, say, Denver Colorado to hear an AM radio station from New York City. This is because the radio signal is being bounced along the ionosphere rather than shooting off into space over the horizon or being lost in the ground.

The patent mentioned above talks about a method of creating an "AIM" at about 60km in altitude so that these special conditions that allow radio signals to bounce much further than usual can be artificially created. The benefit of this would be to extend the range of radio communications or to allow radar systems to be able to scan "over the horizon."

This whole question about HAARP, while not specifically stated here, is because he believes (or at least has beliefs consistent with those that believe) that HAARP is used to transmit large amount of energies from point A (the HAARP station in Alaska) to point B (anywhere in the world) with purposes ranging from wireless energy transmission, to weather control, to Strategic Defense Initiative missile defense. It seems that this whole belief is due to the fact that the patent talks about "RF energy" being bounced off the AIM.

However, "RF energy" is used in this patent to refer to radio transmissions and radar beams, not "energy" like what we get out of a wall socket or some kind of death ray capable of changing the weather, causing earthquakes, or destroying incoming missiles. In fact, as far as weather modification is concerned, this is a silly claim since the AIM is created at 60km and higher--no weather occurs that high.

Third would be that he explain why only Billings and North Platte shoot these things that I term "electrical fingers" No other radars do this! These 2 radars have been EXTREMELY active in the last few months. Both were very dormant in the summer.

Here he makes a logical error--he asks me to explain why only these two sites exhibit spoking. This is backwards. The question isn't why the rest of them don't exhibit spoking, the question is why these sites do.

When he asked this I had already explained the spokes ("electrical fingers") that occur at Billings in my initial report, and the Billings portion of the study is available here.

I had not studied North Platte prior to this discussion since I was unaware that it was of interest. As of 2/7/2004 I am monitoring North Platte to determine if anything interesting is going on. So far I have witnessed only occasional spoking to the east--but I will let the study continue for some time before reaching final conclusions.

Forth would be explaining why only 10% of the radar cause blast, which mostly happened around 2000 to the beginning of 2003. They have calmed down a whole lot now. Also that he accepts that I have shown proof that a blast has actually sparked highs, lows and also those "magnetic strips" that are seen on Satellite. "Magnetic strips" are what I term them.

Here he is again asking me to justify why the rest of the sites don't exhibit blast anomalies. Again, the correct question would be: "Why do these sites exhibit these anomalies?"

As explained here, blast anomalies occur when a radar technican or operator does calibration or testing on the radar without taking it "offline." In this case, the test pattern is transmitted to NOAA and displayed for all to see. The radar operators should disable the radar feed first, in which case we would simply receive a "No Radar Image" message. The reason only 10% of these sites (assuming that is accurate) exhibited the blast anomaly is that most of the radar technicians probably followed procedures when doing their radar maintenance.

Why has it settled down? Probably because radar technicans have gotten better at correctly taking the radar offline from the national network before doing these adjustments. Originally, NEXRAD data wasn't available in real-time to the general public via Internet and it was probably easy to ignore the step of taking the radar offline. As more people got instant access to the NEXRAD images it probably became increasingly important to follow this procedure correctly to avoid strange-looking anomalies that people (such as Electricmojoman) could mis-interpret. Over time, radar operators improved and better followed their procedures such that such anomalies are far less frequent today.

Fifth would be that he understands the vacuum that is created as the sun comes and goes. Especially along the East side of the rocky mountain ridge. This vacuum is key.

This is truly rediculous. There is no "vacuum" created when the sun rises and sets. Questioning him later in the thread lead to him posting these links (http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/ElectricZenn/Mist/imagepages/olympics6.htm, http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/ElectricZenn/Mist/imagepages/olympics8.htm, http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/ElectricZenn/Mist/imagepages/olympics7.htm) which are links to huge (1.5MB each) animations of national satellite imagery that shows clouds moving and disappearing. It was never clear what he meant by "vacuum."

One must have a running understanding of electricity and magnetics to understand how this electrical grid works. Most of our radars now are polarmeteric. Which means they do not scan in one direction anymore. They now scan by sending out a vertical signal and a horizontal signal.

He is close to being right about the concept of polarimetric. A polarimetric radar sends out a signal with a horizontal polarization and a vertical polarization. They scan in the same direction as always, but they essentially scan twice with different polarization relative to the earth's surface to obtain additional information. This does not mean there is a beam emitted horizontally and another emitted verticaly--it's a question of polarization, not beam direction.

He is wrong, however, that "most of our radars now are polarimetric." The NEXRAD radar network is not polarimetric. In fact, a polarimetric approach to NEXRAD was originally considered and tested when the technology was first developed in the late 70's and early 80's, but was rejected in favor of a standard linear approach--apparently because the polarimetric approach resulted in too much ground-reflected energy which presumably would create more ground clutter-type anomalies. As of February 2003, NEXRAD doesn't anticipate having a polarimetric function for another 5-10 years.

This is a lot of electricity being thrown out by radars. You have 140 in the US. Of which some are at military bases and a far more powerful.

It's not that much electricity being "thrown out by radars," really. Each NEXRAD station transmits at 750 kilowatts but only does so for 7 seconds out of every hour. So if you're looking at total energy, that's essentially 7/3600 * 750,000 = 1458 watts of energy transmitted by each NEXRAD station each hour. If you multiply that by the 140 NEXRAD sites you get a total of 204 kilowatts nationwide. Consider that this radio station transmit at 50,000 watts and that there are hundreds of similar stations nationwide you begin to realize just how insignificant the energy NEXRAD "throws out" really is.

Chemtrails, in my view, are used to make the air over radars more conductive. Carnicom has done a lot of studies and found that Barium is a key ingredient. Barium is found in magnets and if you ever get a cat scan you'll be drinking Barium before hand. If you locate your main radar and study in that direction over a year, you will see that a vast amount of the trails are sprayed in that direction and they tend to stick there!

Here he's entering another conspiracy theory known as "chemtrails." This is a theory that states that many of the contrails (the little lines made of water vapor you see form behind high-flying aircraft) are not actually water vapor, but rather some chemical being sprayed secretly by the government. The purpose of such chemtrails, according to believers, is not completely known, but they suggest possibilities including a mechanism to reduce global warming, a mechanism to control population (sterilize? poison?), mind control and, in this case, to make the air over radars more conductive.

Chemtrails themselves require a leap of faith and, unless you are a conspiracy theorist yourself, they are science fiction. Contrails are normal phenomenon caused when the vapor in aircraft fuel is released into a very cold airmass outside the plane following its combustion in the engines, or existing humidity condenses in the wake of the aircraft. There's nothing mysterious about contrails and here, to follow his logic, you would first have to convince yourself that there is something mysterious about them.

Weather control is very easy to understand when you keep in mind that we live inside an electrical grid. There are 4 main points of control: HAARP basically is for the jetstream, LOWS are used to steer a system, cold dense air is a conductor for the electricity and the rocky mountain wall is used to add electricity that creates a front that backs up energy or to let it build up.

Apparently this man is very intelligent since he has just proclaimed that weather control "is very easy to understand." I guess he should've been hired by the government 50 years ago. :)

First, he has not proven that HAARP can do anything other than create an atmospheric mirror. Certainly other conspiracy material that he has read has somehow convinced some people that HAARP can do all kinds of other marvelous things but, despite his beliefs to the contrary, HAARP cannot control the jetstream.

What he means by "Lows are used to steer a system" is anyone's guess. I would assume he is referring to "low pressure systems." How that relates to "steering a system" is anyone's guess. He never explained that concept.

As for cold, dense air being a conductor for electricity, it's not clear what he's even talking about. Is dense air "high pressure?" Or is he talking about dense in terms of full of moisture? Hard to say because he never explained it. In any case, it sounds very dubious.

As for the "Rocky Mountain wall" being used to "add electricity," again, he hasn't really explained how that is supposed to happen but there is nothing that I have read in meteorology or physics that would give me any idea what he is talking about.

HAARP is basically a Huge magnet. When HAARP starts pulsing at higher MHz, it heats straight up and basically plugs into all the electricity surrounding our planet.

A huge magnet? Better let everyone in Alaska know to hold on to their wristwatches then! Seriously, HAARP is not a magnet and doesn't do anything but create an ionospheric mirror at an altitude of about 60km. It doesn't "plug in" to anything.

In fact HAARP's position is more important than anything else. It is located underneath the "Electrojet." This is where all the Sun's energy coagulates. This is full of energy!

Well, the auroral electrojet (I assume that's what he's talking about) really exists at all latitudes but, yes, it is stronger in the higher latitudes. That's why you see the Northern Lights further north.

In regards to the jetstream, if it is going over alaska and HAARP comes on, it will effectively create a pivot point in which the jetstream will not be able to dip below it but will come down into the US just over the Rockies.

There is no evidence of this whatsoever.

At the beginning of this Fall we had a very bad cold spell in the US. It was WAY to early to get that kind of cold but this was the system that brought it in. HAARP was pulsing at the time.

And my cat was hanging on the screen door at the time, but that doesn't mean that my cat caused the cold spell. The implication he is making here is that it seemed that we had a cold spell earlier than usual (in his opinion) and HAARP was operating at the time so he concludes HAARP caused it. But there is no more evidence that HAARP caused this than my cat.

Especially considering that we've already established that HAARP operates in the ionosphere at altitudes in the neighborhood of 60km while the jet stream exists at 8-12 miles (12.8 to 19.2km). In other words, the area of the atmosphere where HAARP does its work is 3 times higher than the jetstream. It is unclear why he thinks that HAARP's work at 60km has any effect on the jetstream at 20km.

HAARP also can Attract the jetstream up from the gulf. Much like a magnet. Obviously this is my belief and not scientific.

That much we can agree on. It's not scientific.

As for the connection from HAARP to the radars I have stepped back from that view for now. Accept when I see Billings Spark the "Electrical fingers" in HAARPS direction. I see a lot more correlation and connection between the 2 in summer time when the vacuum swells become so huge that, at the peak of the vacuum, the whole US will fire up storms. From top to bottom. I do believe HAARP has a help in drawing the vacuum harder.

Here he is basically saying that he's abandoned (for now) the view that there is a connection between HAARP and the radars, except for when it fits the data--i.e., apparently when he sees spoking in Billings then it is important.

He also makes some mention about storms "firing up" in the summer and that HAARP is somehow drawing this unidentified vacuum, apparently causing the summer storms. But anyone who has lived in the U.S.--especially just east of the Rocky Mountains--know that summer storms, especially in the afternoon, are nothing new. There is no logical reason to believe that the summer thunderstorms that have been a part of North America since it was settled are now somehow being caused by HAARP or radars in Billings or North Platte.

If you ever see a gravity map of the US, you will see that gravity is the greatest over Alaska (where HAARP is) and down the Rocky Mountains. Gravity and magnetism are very closely related. The earth has a north and south pole and a magnetic structure around it. The way you make a magnet is by running a direct current thru something. Anything can be magnetised! Weather included. Especially with Barium and metals thrown in. Electrical lines have a magnetic field. The mountains being so high up and more gravity means that more electricity build up along this ridge. Many Many times you will see a front start on the mountains. Energy gets back up here.

Again, he's dropping reference to the "chemtrails" conspiracy when he talks about barium being thrown in.

Beyond that, it is not clear what he means by "energy getting backed up" on the mountains. Apparently he thinks the mountains are so high as to provide some kind of barrier for electricity. It's not clear whether he thinks this is a barrier for energy in the ionosphere (which would be strange since the Rocky Mountains do not exceed 5km in height which is far below the ionosphere) or a barrier for weather (which is far below the ionosphere in which HAARP operates).

Basically, the previous paragraph makes so little sense I don't even know how to analyze it.

It is my belief that Billings is charging this line when it sparks southward. Which in the last few months I would guestimate that this radar has sparked south on average 3 times a day. Easily! Again, only Billings and North Platte do these kinds of returns on a regular bases. This is fact! I save animations every day!

So now he's saying that the Billings NEXRAD site (pictured to the right) is somehow "charging" this wireless electrical line in the ionosphere 60km above it. No matter that, as we can see, there are no heavy-duty industrial power lines leading to the Billings site. No matter that it is not explained how a NEXRAD radar, which consists of a 28 foot dish, is capable of receiving or transmitting energy into the ionosphere that an entire network of antennas is required to do at HAARP in Alaska (pictured to the left).

Now for the main control...LOWS. Take some time and watch the Colorado Ridge. When a low gets stuck on this ridge the vacuum will increase its size and power. This last system we had was all controlled from that one low. From that juncture it allows moisture to be pulled up from the gulf and collide with the cold fronts. Often times you will see the "question mark" effect of weather that spreads from Texas all the way north into a loop. 3 times last year we had hurricane size lows go across the US. They all started on the ridge. It was only last year that I noticed this ridge of radars flare up on purpose!

Here, as best I can tell, he is describing weather phenomenon and patterns that are very well known. There is nothing suspicious about moisture being pulled up from the Gulf of Mexico through tornado alley, causing tornados. In Colorado, "upslope conditions" that bring moisture in from the southeast are also well-known and bring very wet, heavy snow into Colorado during the winter. There is nothing spectacular about what he is describing.

He then goes on to suggest that some radars "flaring up on purpose" has something to do with this. There is no basis, however, for this conclusion. Again, just because two things happen at or near the same time doesn't mean one caused the other. In fact, assuming he is right and that certain radars "flared up" at about the same time, I would suggest that it is entirely more probable that the low pressure systms were accompanied by changing atmospheric conditions which caused radar refractions and signal bending which are known causes of these types of anomalies.

From there I believe a low can be steered from radar to radar. Especially in this extremely cold dense air. Cold Dense Air is supper conductive. Many of you will notice the amount of shocks you get during this time. The electrical field is right on top of you.

There is nothing particularly conductive about cold dense air. Shocks you receive are simply static electricity. They are common when the air is dry or humidity low (source). There is nothing "right on top of you." In fact if by "dense" he means full of humidity, he is precisely wrong. But perhaps "dense" means "high pressure." Again, it's really hard to understand his theory.

In the document "Owning the weather by 2025," fog was a big part of what they wanted to create. One reason is to be hidden but the main part is because fog is so highly conductive to electricity and EMP's (electrical magnetic pulses). In the fog you have radars, cell towers, GWEN towers and so on adding electricity around you. When Wellstone's plane went down it was in this type of environment.

It would seem he is entirely backwards. According to this site, "When the air is humid, water molecules can collect on the surface of various materials. This can prevent the build-up of electrical charges. The reason has to do with the shape of the water molecule and its own electrical forces. Thus, static electricity is formed much better when the air is dry or the humidity is low."

Further, the Wellstone crash occured in "visibility of about 2 miles, with snow showers and a cloud ceiling of about 700 feet". Not fog.

Many of you who have visited my site know that I personally caught the "magnetic strip" that sparked as his plane went down. It showed up on Satellite and those 2 little prongs went on both sides of the airport. That is more than a coincidence! There is a Professor Fetzer from Minnesota that is claiming that Wellstone's plane was taken out by an EMP. I believe this to be true and I have sent Wellstone's lawyers and family my findings! This also brings into focus what the Deceased Astronauts discovered before they died. They were the first of ALL the astronauts to discover "Red Arcs of Light" circling the earth. Just little red strips firing away. NO OTHER ASTRONAUT has witnessed these! I believe they witnessed Star Wars in action. I believe that the "magnetic strip" I caught for Wellstone are the exact same things they discovered!

The magnetic strips that he claims to have observed, and which he has made available here, appear to be an anomaly in the image just like the radar anomalies he analyzes are no more than radar anomalies. The "rings" cover thousands of square miles across the northern U.S. and southern Canada. In reality, this is a simple anomaly and it is a coincidence.

Further, Wellstone's plane crashed on October 25th, 2002 at 10:20am Central Daylight Time. The image provided on RadarMatrix with the "magnetic strips" has a date/time stamp of "0515Z 25 OCT 02". That is "05:15 Zulu" and Zulu is the same as UTC which is 5 hours ahead of Central Time during Daylight Savings Time. So the magnetic strip anomaly pictured at RadarMatrix actually occured at 12:15am Central Time, over 10 hours before Wellstone's plane went down. For some reason I don't think that Wellstone's lawyers or family will be too interested in his findings.

Professor Jim Fetzer is a professor at the University of Minnesota in the Department of Philosophy. In addition to his theories regarding the Wellstone crash, you can also read his conspiracy theories regarding the Space Shuttle Columbia, new takes on the JFK assassination, and his anti-war rhetoric regarding Iraq. This man may be a professor but he's a big-time conspiracy theorist, too. His theories regarding Wellstone are not surprising nor particularly credible.

In the summer time watch a radar in Texas located at Dyess AFB. It sits smack dab in-between the most volatile air on earth. Tornado Alley. In this region a radar can actually ignite long lines of storms. Last year I caught this radar triggering storms for almost 48 hours. There was no activity on the radar accept from it's center northwards. it looked like a match with fire coming off it!

Once again, he seems to be engaging in a very backwards take on "cause and effect." He says that this radar sits right in the middle of the most volatile air on earth (Tornado Alley) and then goes on to blame the creation of long lines of storms on the radar rather than the volatile air. This makes no sense whatsoever.

These are some random views so I will let you all chomp on them for a while. I have had many people try and discredit me and none have come close to convincing me otherwise. My belief is solid because I do stem my work from the point of common sense that our military wants to control the weather. George Washington himself won a battle by attacking in the dead of winter. Which was unheard of back then. So even in the earliest times of America, weather has been a factor of war. It is a great asset and it can be a great Burden.

No-one argues that weather control would be cool. But he certainly hasn't made any believable case that it is being accomplished today and certainly not in the manner he is describing.

I did also call my local news channel and had one guy tell me point blank that the chemtrail activity was the military doing exercises. As you could imagine, my mouth dropped!

I'd very much like to know which "local news channel" and the name of the person he talked to. Given that information, I'd give him a call and verify that. The news person could have thought he was talking about "chaff" that military planes often dispense during training exercises. We don't know exactly what this person asked and exactly how the news person responded. Without that information, this is just hearsay.

I think 911 is allowing this to continue under the security perception! Obviously our representatives and American's would not be so keen on knowing the Government can control weather which is why we have ENRONS. They are a front to milk money to pay for this.

While he claims that Americans would not be "keen on knowing the Government" can control the weather, I see no reason to believe this. We're not talking about ET contact and society-shattering or religion-shaterring contacts with beings from another planet. We're talking about weather control. This is just "seeding clouds" but with advances in technology. His claim that Americans would be upset to know that the government could control the weather and, thus, must be made secret seems rather silly. The general population is fine with people seeding clouds to try to make it rain, why would they be upset if the government could actually make it work?

It's also neat how he brought in semi-current events (Enron) to somehow support his theory. This is a common strategy of conspiracy theories. Everything means something and is somehow tied to the conspiracy. Even corporate bankruptcies, apparently.

The Patents for HAARP are sitting in the hands of OIL/ENERGY firms. Our government right now is being ran by the same people. Enron was Bush's number one contributor. His father was the spokesman for Star Wars. They own it and few people know the true reality of what it is.

Once again, we're reaching here. First, even if oil/energy firms hold the patents on HAARP, so what? Apparently the purpose (according to them) of HAARP is to modify the weather, cause earthquakes (I've read that on some conspiracy site), and to provide an SDI-style missile defense. What in the world would oil/energy firms want with this technology? This whole Bush/Enron/Oil firm/HAARP tie-in is shaky at best and, even if true, doesn't seem to add up to anything.

Star Wars and this electrical grid has its place if and when a nuke comes at us. Being that true missile defense comes from creating an atmosphere were you can send out an EMP and discharge the electronics of the missile. This is all Tesla 101 and is also common sense. The whole "bullet to Bullet" defense is a joke and a smoke screen! Fortunately, nukes are not an everyday occurrence. So weather control best suits their money making ways.

So, basically, they're saying that HAARP was supposed to provide a missile defense but since that doesn't happen very often and they can't make money off of it, they want to make money off of controlling the weather. Right. Talk about dual-use technology. :)

See ENRON and what they did to California for justification. That was on the heels of one of the hottest summers ever. That summer they did not have one blackout because Jim Jeffords switch parties and gave Dems subpoena power. Then Enron Fell! Chemtrails and the layers of crap that it creates will trap in UV rays. This may very well be what Global warming is from! I have actually witnessed a full campaign of spraying only to see the planes disappear and the sandy substance left behind get cooked away. On those night I could taste a chlorine/metallic taste in the air. When this happened I would stare at the stars as if I were looking thru a magnifying glass. I honestly wonder about this affect on us. Especially when the sun is out!

There's a lot of comments here, not much worth responding too, though. But apprently now the California energy problem is also due to this whole HAARP/NEXRAD conspiracy and maybe even causing global warming.

As for a chlorine/metallic taste in the air, wow... I've never been able to taste air before, and I've been to Mexico City! Perhaps he should call the EPA. :)

In all seriousness, one can't really refute his claims regarding what he felt or tasted. But this goes along with the chemtrail conspiracy that claims that some contrails make people sick. This has been disproven inasmuch as the chemtrail claims have not been able to prove a causal relationship between contrails and the sickness. After all, people get sick all the time, contrails occur virtually every day, and contrails occur about 5 or 6 miles higher than the altitude at which most of us live. They have been unable to conduct a "clean" study that has proper scientific controls and which excludes other possible causes for the sickness.

That's not to say people can't get sick because of contrails. We all know that the mind is a very powerful thing and hypochondriacs can and do truly feel ill when there is nothing physically wrong with them. Mental suggestion is very real. Based on the lack of scientific evidence regarding contrails making people sick, it is more probable that people that choose to believe this essentially are engaged in self-suggestion such that they think they should be sick, so their mind causes them to feel sick.

But this isn't a physical problem so much as a psychological one (Source).

Chemtrails are real and anyone who sits and watch a clear blue sky get over cast from these high flying planes knows the truth. I have video taped it one to many times and correlated it with "NASA's contrail prediction program" (also located on my site) and it never lines up. The humidity is low and in many of my videos I tape regular planes that are on the SAME PLAIN and one will have a normal contrail and the other goes from skyline to skyline and fans out. I know what I see and when you type "Chemtrails" into google, 50,000 pages can't just be a conspiracy!

Actually, 50,000 pages can be "just a conspiracy theory." Last I heard there were something like 3 billion pages cataloged in Google. That means that 1 out of every 60,000 pages references chemtrails (many of which are arguing against them, of course!). If 1 out of every 60,000 people believes in something, yes, that would probably qualify as a conspiracy theory.

On the note of chemtrails, The 2002 winter Olympics was one of the first MAJOR weather experiments I documented. I suggest you check it out on my web page. Read about how the Department of Energy's Atmospheric Research Program (why the DOE is involved in weather is a mystery) but read how they performed test over Salt Lake by spraying "perfluorocarbon tracers" over the area. It was a major experiment! Perfluorocarbon tracers have been put inside the new 20 dollar bills and possibly others to trace large sums of money from satellite. You wanna talk about being marked well here is a starting place to study! Watch the whole series of animations leading up to and past the Olympics. IT WAS THE MOST VOLATILE TIME IN MY STUDIES FOR RADAR BLAST AND BEAMS! This whole time was a HUGE experiment. On the day of the opening Ceremonies, in which Bush is to give an opening speech, 3 radars north of Salt Lake, HELD a weather pattern. I did save a lot of it but what I didn't save only would show more time of what I have. Those 3 radars had this plasma like look to them. All the energy circled the radars for the whole day. Until just before the ceremonies when they let go and all the energy seemed to drip down the US.

First, it is no mystery why the Department of Energy is involved in weather research programs. From this document, the reason is: "For nearly 50 years, the Department of Energy and its predecessors, the Atomic Energy Commission and the Energy Research and Development Administration, have established and supported meteorological operations and atmospheric research at the DOE field offices. The need for meteorological services began in 1944 with the development, fabrication, and testing of atomic weapons and the national security and safety issues associated with them. Meteorological program requirements were subsequently augmented by the passage of environmental protection legislation, which is enforced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and by several DOE orders that specify requirements for meteorological services to protect public health and safety and the environment."

I saw (I think) his study on the 2002 Olympics. I say "I think" because his site is so poorly organized that it's hard to say with certainty whether I studied the right section or whether he had other information on the topic somewhere else. But based on what I saw I saw nothing out of the ordinary. It amounted to normal weather patterns. He somehow attributes the fact that a weather system moved the way it did because of some anomalies he saw on radar, but there is no evidence to suggest that radars were the cause of it. In fact, such a conclusion is completely unwarranted given the fact that he has provided no explanation or proof of how a NEXRAD station could modify the weather. The fact that weather changes near a NEXRAD station is no more proof that NEXRAD is responsible than my house being responsible when weather changes near it.

Now the DOE's experiment over Salt Lake is sound evidence of a weather experiment folks. Those animations I provide show you all you need to see to get a good grasp. I have told you the points that control this. If you are not subscribed to weathertap.com I suggest you do. It will show you the electricity. It is the best there is! It will show you all the blast, beams, sparks, static etc.

There is no evidence provided and the animations reflect weather patterns that are not particularly interesting. It is also strange that a secret government weather-modification program would be tested and made visible before the entire world at such a public event. Again, even if there was anything suspicious about the weather patterns during the Olympics (there wasn't) the suggestion that a secret military capability would be used to influence the weather for a public civilian event is illogical.

My web page only has limited space so much of my proof sits on my computer and not on my web page so keep that in mind folks. Common sense dictates here. It does not take a large leap to believe weather modification is in place. Here are some titles on my site under PROOF.

Common sense does dictate--it dictates that we not make any leap (let alone a large one) without sound and scientific reasoning. The entire case Electricmojoman made above is based on what he himself admits is his "belief and not scientific". Yet he asks that we keep in mind that he hasn't provided all the evidence because his web page has limited space. You would think that his web page, dedicated to promoting this theory, would contain at least sufficient information to draw a rational conclusion. It does not.

His website is a collection of radar and satellite imagery with links to a lot of conspiracy documents thrown in for good measure. He does not make any scientifically convincing case that the radar and satellite imagery are suspicious nor that the radars have anything to do with the movement of weather patterns (they don't).

In short, none of the claims made above are based on science. They seemed to be based on speculation, a conspiracy-theory state of mind, and a little bit of Hollywood science fiction.

My report: There are only 2 radars that are very active right now. One being Billings MT and the other being North Platte NE. In between you will find some activity out of the 3 radars in Nevada beaming. One cannot just up and study all radars that I speak of ,in such a short time, and come to a conclusion or expect activity. To do so would be to conclude that weather modification is a daily thing. It is not! I posted my BILLINGS challenge because it is the most active and lately it has been going absolutely bonkers!

I have completely explained the Billings anomalies.

Additionally, I never claimed nor assumed that he claimed that all radars exhibited this kind of activity. I specifically monitored other radar sites to serve as a "control" on the experiment. You can't make conclusions based only on those sites that you believe are acting strangely--you must monitor other sites to establish a baseline comparison.

[Regarding "blast" or "nuclear explosion" anomalies being calibrations] This one is very easy to discredit. I have mentioned on my site that only 10% of the radars produce these blast. If what they say was true then all of the radars would do this at certain points and times. These blast do not just happen and go away. They go off for hours at a time. So unless the controller is sitting there flicking the switch then there is something else involved.

Again, he seems to contradict himself. He said that the blasts don't just happen and go away but rather last for "hours at a time." He then suggets that that could only be explained if a controller was "flicking the switch." In reality, the fact that he says these radars used to exhibit this "blast" anomaly for hours at a time confirms the conclusion that they were probably calibrations. If they constantly appeared and disappeared from image to image, that would be strange. If they appear, as he says, for hours at a time, that would be consistent with an operator working on a radar calibration problem over several hours and simply forgetting to take the radar offline first.

We also need to note that if this energy is being blasted out and showing up on national radar, then obviously the energy is real.

No, "national radar" is a composite of individual radars. That means the national radar is made up of the data from each individual radar. The fact that the anomalies are present on national radar doesn't mean "the energy is real"--it simply confirms the fact that the national radar image is made up of the smaller radar images, each of which can present anomalies.

I preceeded to prove that fact, in my 3rd column, by showing these blast were affecting the air with a blast causing a Low and a blast sparking a "magnetic strip."

This conclusion is not based in logic nor science. At best he is showing a correlation. But a correlation does not prove the radars caused a low pressure system or sparked a "magnetic trip." In short, he has proved nothing.

As for the Beams, one needs to study Nevada radars. In particular Reno Nevada! Which I believe to be a weapon of some sort! You will not catch many others sending out a beam accept on rare occassion.

I agree that Reno presents a very interesting set of anomalies. However, I thoroughly explained them in the link just cited and in the study to which electricmojoman is replying.

In a sense the anomalies are caused by weapons: fighter aircraft doing combat training at the Top Gun school at Fallon NAS. The anomalies are caused by aircraft moving independently in restricted airspace and occasionally illuminating the NEXRAD radar with the radar on their own aircraft.

One final problem here is the different types of blast. Someone saying that it is just from a person switching modes is one thing but now they would need to explain each type. And I mean to tell you there is a lot of explaining to do here! As for ground clutter and flocks of birds..... it is one of the funnier things I have heard. Like I said, only 10% show these blast so apparently the other 90% do not have birds or ground clutter problems!

I never said that all anomalies are caused by birds, ground clutter, or calibration tests. There are other sources of anomalies, as any radar operator knows. This site is currently working to document and explain all know anomalies on the anomaly introduction page. Over time we will try to document more and more of them.

[In regards to Billings anomaly] This radar has been doing this for over 3 years and just now they are looking into it? The second problem is that it sparks in 2 directions. In the summer it will spark towards Alaska and in the winter it sparks southward. Though it will do both at different times also. If you all get a chance, check out a relief map of the US and how the Rockies go around Billings. I also do remember seeing a 60 minutes, or something to that affect, talking about the energy corruption in Billings. This would be a good place to do some investigating as well!

He suggests that it is suspicious that the Billings anomaly has not been resolved in 3 years. Interference such as this is a complicated issue and isn't solved just by flipping a switch. While we would all like to see radars working perfectly 100% of the time, that's often just not possible. Regardless, our study of the Billings anomaly showed that it only presented an anomaly 2.6% of the time. That is certainly more than adequate to monitor the weather. Unfortunately, anything more than 0% failure can be used by some people to demonstrate a conspiracy.

The fact that it spokes in two directions is not suspicious since the interference itself is known to come from both Great Falls MT ("towards Alaska") and Riverton WY ("southward").

[Regarding conditions that cause anomalies at Billings] Why is this and North Platte the only ones having this problem? And several times a day every day of the week and every week of the month?

Again, his question is incorrectly phrased. The question isn't why these are the only radars with this problem. The question is why these radars have this problem. I already explaiend the Billings anomaly and am currently running a study on the North Platte anomaly.

[Regarding Billings anomaly caused by Great Falls and Riverton NEXRAD sites] By saying this I should assume that both of these radars, Great Falls and Riverton, would show a beam everytime Billings Sparks. I sincerely doubt this.

This logic is flawed. Just because Great Falls and Riverton cause interference for Billings doesn't mean Billings would cause interference for them. Just like an AM radio station in Denver might be heard some evening in New York City doesn't mean that a station from New York City will necessarilly be audible the same night in Denver. It doesn't work that way.

Again, no other radars have this problem. Accept North Platte. If the Great Falls and Riverton radars are affecting this radar so much then I can only conclude that there is a power grid between them.

This conclusion is downright humorous. We might as well say that if your cell phone is causing interference with your computer's speakers that you can only conclude that there is some kind of power grid between them. It's interference, nothing more! This is not evidence of a "power grid" between anything.

This is a good example of a conspiracy theorist jumping to illogical conclusions based on both a lack of information and a lack of knowledge of the topic.

[Regarding the spokes of the Billings anomaly appearing at constant angles] Not true, at this particular point it is but a two weeks study of time. Which is not much time to make a valid statement on this. Again, if this radar is sparking energy towards the mountains and towards alaska, then it seems to me to be connected to more than ground clutter. There are many other radars around the mountains that have no problem like this.

The fact is, it is true. Yes, the study I did was two weeks long. However, during that time I captured 53 anomalies that are consistent with the anomalies he has described (as being "towards Alaska" which is the northwest, and southward). If one analyzes the angle of the spokes, they constantly appear at the same angles. This is shown by looking at the Riverton composite image created from all the observed Riverton anomalies overlayed on a single image. Likewise, you can look at the Great Falls composite image created from all the observed Great Falls anomalies overlayed on a single image.

The fact that other radars near mountains don't have this problem is irrelevant. It's not the mountains alone that are causing the problem--it's the radar beams from Riverton and Great Falls bouncing off tall nearby mountains that are causing problems in Billings. Such a configuration of radars and high mountains and similar radar frequencies simply isn't occuring elsewhere which is why the same kind of problem isn't observed at other radars near mountains.

[Regarding the angles of Billings spoking] I would like to see these "spokes" from these radars that you speak of. They surely are not the Spokes that Billings is doing. Are you saying that the spokes, which seem to be evenly spaced, are hitting mountain tops? I think your refering to the echo beams that go off at sunrise and sunset.

The images of these anomalies are available here for him, and everyone, to see. These are clearly not the "sunburst" beams caused by sunrise and sunset. These are the same anomalies he's speaking of. The angles of the beams are consistent.

Again, when it comes to Beams, not the sunrise/sunset beams, but actual scanning beams, Nevada is the motherload. Many times you can catch Reno, Las Vegas, Elko NV and Cedar City UT all beaming at one another. This region is full of Odd activity! You won't find other radars doing this stuff!

I already explained the Reno anomaly. It is caused by aircraft involved in combat training at Top Gun at the Fallon airbase east of Reno.

He is wrong, however, in that that Reno, Las Vegas, Elko, and Cedar City are "beaming at one another." In no case was there ever any beam observed between these cities--they all came from the restricted airspace where Top Gun does combat training.

[Regarding the fact that anomalies seem to originate from restricted airspace at Top Gun] This really just makes a point that they are militarized. We could come up with all kinds of conspiracies of what the Beams are for.

His mindset is completely exposed here. He himself says "we could come up with all kinds of conspiracies" just based on the fact that the radar anomalies are coming from restricted airspace. I don't know how others may read this, but I had to chuckle and think, "Yep, you can make up all kinds of conspiracy theories." But conspiracy theories shouldn't be made up, they should be built on a logical premise. That he seems ready to "come up with all kinds of conspiracies" to "fit the data" speaks volumes.

The main question would be, why do all the radars in that are have a tendency to Beam at one another or cross their beams?

Again, the radars in Nevada were never observed to "beam at one another" but the spokes of the beams do cross from time to time. This is completely consistent with the radars picking up military aircraft and is fully explained here.

I thought dopplar radar was a spinning mechanism that sends out radio waves? how do we get to beams in one direction?

This comment is truly amazing. It appears as though he thinks that just because a radar is constantly rotating that is incapable of detecting something in "one direction." If that were the case, what would be the point of a radar?

The fact is, the Reno radar is rotating. If, as it rotates, it happens to point over the restricted airspace at Top Gun and one of the dozens of aircraft there just happens to be flying towards the NEXRAD site the on-aircraft radar will be pointed directly at the NEXRAD dish. This is effectively like shining a spotlight at someone that is looking at you with binoculars. Just as they are temporarily blinded, so is the NEXRAD temporarily blinded by the radar energy being emitted by the aircraft. This is why you see beams.

Also note that I have and animation of the Reno NV radar, in which you can see a distinct section of the radar move opposite the spin and then shoot out a large beam. Reno NV is a very very strange radar. At certain times it looks almost like a large underground satellite dish. it just sites there and hums with no rotation at all. And it is radiating a very large section of the ground. I do believe this one to be a weapon!

Again, this one is so full of nonsense it's hard to decide where to start.

First, just because a beam "moves" counter-clockwise doesn't mean the radar is spinning counter-clockwise. It just means the target it is tracking (in this case aircraft at Fallon) are moving north.

Second, it's not clear what he means that it looks like a "large underground satellite dish." Reno's NEXRAD site is pictured to the right and is just a typical NEXRAD site.

Third, an underground satellite dish would be absurd--the reason satellite dishes exist is to capture as much energy as possible from a weak signal or focusing a radio signal to be sent to the satellite. Burying such a device underground would completely defeat the purpose.

Fourth, it is completely a mystery what he means by "sits there and hums with no rotation at all." The rotation of NEXRAD is not visible in the images it produces so there's no way for him to reach such a conclusion.

Fifth, there is no evidence that the Reno NEXRAD site is "radiating a very large section of the ground." There is absolutely no way to know (at least from the radar images we have access to) at what angle the radar is pointing. But aiming it at the ground would be counterproductive and probably result in a radar image much more abnormal then a few "beams" to the east.

The conclusion that the radar is a weapon is completely unfounded.

[My Comment: The stations at Fairbanks and Anchorage--the two stations closest to HAARP--showed absolutely no "spoke" activity other than daily sunrise and sunset at times and at angles consistent with sunrise and sunset. The lack of activity was mutually confirmed. ] Obviously!

Why is this obvious? If the idea is that the energy that these radars are supposed observing or channeling has something to do with HAARP, why wouldn't we expect to see some kind of anomalies near HAARP itself?

[Regarding Seattle not showing any anomalies either] As I stated in my first response. I have backed away from the channeling of HAARP's energy to the rockies. This does not mean that I do not believe it but it is harder to prove.

If he has "backed away" from the idea of channeling energy from HAARP down through the Rockies then what does he think is happening? How or why does he think NEXRAD sites are able to control the weather? Then why is it significant that Billings occasionally spokes towards Alaska if HAARP isn't a factor? Why is his site called RadarMatrix?

As far as I can tell he's basically saying that the data doesn't support his claims, he can't prove it, but that he still believes it. This is exactly the problem with his theories. They aren't based in science, aren't provable, and when data contradicts his beliefs he simply "backs away" without recognizing the obvious: That his theory is broken!

Seattle often times has what i term, "Electrical Fingers" coming out of it. They tend to be black with several going one way and several going another. Question is why and why this radar? I find it very unusual.

I have yet to see these and he doesn't specify at what angle these "black fingers" appear. However, NEXRAD can and is blocked by high terrain. In Seattle we have the Cascade mountains to the east and we have the Olympic mountains to the west and southwest. If and when we see this anomaly at Seattle we can analyze those spokes, but the fact that Seattle is roughly surrounded by mountains does not make the observation particularly surprising.

My original reason for this connection was because of my views on Billings. It has always been the most active! You should study the Unisys High and Low map and correlate how often you see fronts form along the Rockies and Decide wether or not Billing's Sparks are adding to that in some way. Not to mention all the radars along the rockies!

Again, he himself uses the word "correlate." A correlation means nothing unless it is a relation--and he hasn't proven that there is any relation.

[Regarding no anomalies at Riverton WY] I still believe that the radars along the Rockies, by virtue of their height and their electrical output, increases the energy along this ridge. If you do believe weather modification is possible and understand that weather moves from east to west, the rockies become a logical place to hold energy or build it up.

Weather moves from east to west? Generally it moves west to east. And it's not at all clear nor does he explain what he means when he says "hold energy or build it up."

[Regarding no anomalies at Denver CO] Without activity meaning you are not seeing blast or beams I suppose? Denver in particular often times catched lows and freezes them there. This is something that a conductive material sprayed or even a combination of height to a low helps a radar attach itself to a low.

It appears here that he is saying that even though we don't see anything strange happening at Denver's NEXRAD site, something strange is happening. What he means by "attaching itself to a low" is anybody's guess. That he thinks a radar site can "catch a low and freeze it there" is at best a correlation, but I doubt even that. He has yet to demonstrate that any weather phenomena that he has observed can't be explained by normal meteorological events.

[Regarding no anomalies at Brownsville, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi TX]The only 3 radars that are worth watching in Texas are Dyess AFB for triggering storms, Amarillo Tx for holding and steering a low and Galvestone TX.

Again, there is no explanation of how he thinks any of these radars do any of this and, in fact, there is no reason to believe any of them can do any of this.

In closing: 2 weeks do not make up a study on what radars are up to..... unless something is up. No? Maybe next time I see something going down you could pump up your system and capture all this data for me.

His insinuation here is that 2 weeks was not sufficient time to observe the radar anomalies. However, during the 2 weeks I did observe the anomalies he spoke of at both Billings and Reno. The anomalies were observed, they were investigated, and they were explained here and here. He has not mentioned any other anomalies that we should expect to see at Reno or Billings so it would seem that by extending the period of observation we will only see more of the same.

That said, it appears he is saying that the next time he sees something interesting happen he could tell me and I could monitor the sites in question. He also runs a Yahoo Group dedicated to distributing daily information about radar anomalies. Thus his claims elsewhere that he believes that radar anomalies are no longer a major factor in his theory seem to be betrayed by the evidence that he still very actively monitors it.

Also, Unless you watch weathertap, your not going to see a lot of the anomalies unless you watch all radars at all times. Weathertap is the best for showing the electricity and static in the air.

WeatherTap simply repackages information available for free from NOAA. There is no reason to pay money for this information. Even this professional meteorologist agrees with the fact that there is no reason, in this day and age, to pay for this kind of weather information.

It will also show you how Billings and North Platte spark in unison. Have someone explain that because this is a pure fact that has been happening for the last month or so. How can Billings' spark coinside with a North platte spark based off of their explination? And why only these 2? This shows another connection of electricity!

This is explained here. The frequency at which Billings and North Platte "spark in unison" is consistent with the frequency of two independent random events happening at the same time. If two people randomly pick a number between 1 and 10, they will pick the same number, on average, once every 10 times. That doesn't mean there's any connection between the two people--simple probablity demands that this will happen from time to time. The frequency at which an anomaly occurs at Billings and North Platte is well within the expected statistcal frequency of such an event.

Further, that they "spark in unison" is itself a suspect statement since each NEXRAD station produces an updated image every 5 to 11 minutes. The national composite image that he is looking at is made up of the last available image from each NEXRAD station. The fact that in any given national radar images it appears that Billings and North Platte "spark" at the same time does not mean the anomalies actually occured at the same time--it just means that the latest images from both sites had anomalies and that means the anomalies at either station simply occured within the last 5 to 11 minutes. The Billings imagery might be from 11:38AM while the North Platte imagery might be from 11:41AM.

The very concept that these sites present anomalies in "unison" is, thus, further weakened.

You cannot believe what a radar tech tells you or someone who is only programmed to read a screen. They are told what to say.

Here he is telling us that we shouldn't trust a professional that is trained in radar operations and should, instead, trust him who seems to have absolutely no radar experience whatsoever aside from watching them on the Internet for a couple of years and coming up with unfounded theories.

Ask a radar tech how fried he would get sitting close to one of these radars. We are talking about electricity being thrown out into the air here. Lets discuss the electricity factor! I am suggesting that with 140 radars spinning out energy, GWEN towers and cell towers, coupled with chemtrails creates an enviroment of electricity in the sky. That there is a connection in this grid. Only a cerain few are players in controlling weather. When there is fog or cold dense air, radar become involved. Not all, but some. My previous post spells out the simplicity of control.

His previous post said weather control was simple, but never explained it.

In terms of the energy being "thrown out" by NEXRAD, it is trivial compared to all the radio waves being emitted by other radio stations and cell phones around the world. If, in the above paragraph, he's suggesting that there is a lot of radio waves in use, yes, we agree. But that doesn't mean that NEXRAD is dangerous or capable of weather control or SDI and he hasn't demonstrated that to be the case.

Your next study should be to get on CTTUSA chemtrail group and when someone post heavy spraying, you call their local news or local air traffic controller and ask them what those planes are that are spraying all those lines. You just may get lucky and find someone who will spill a thing or 2 about military exercises.

Here we witness another conspiracy theory strategy: When you have run out of things in support of your theory, switch modes. Here he switches away from the radar anomalies and runs to the chemtrail conspiracy. These conspiracy theories are all built on a logical house of cards. They are all intertwined such that when one theory is called into question, they point to yet other theories which they suggest prop up the broken theory even in the face of evidence to the contrary.

I would also like to see you get these people at Nexrad to explain each type of radar blast. Why some have cutout portions, why some look like electrical spokes, why the New Orleans and Long island one produce a "spiral graph" return. This should be interesting.

We are currently working on compiling that information.

I know that reality dictates that weather modification and Star Wars are real by virtue of the documents found on military sites and the publications. So the next question is how? Most of what I studied came from a specific time when certain things were going down. My views on things have changed from different theories thru the 3 years. Do me a favor and don't just study for 2 weeks.

This is another common aspect of conspiracy theories: their ability to evolve. Here he is basically saying that his theory has been changed and molded over time. While the argument could be made that his theories are changing because of a growing understanding of the problem, the reality is his theories are changing because they aren't supported by ongoing observations.

Try a year of studying your sky outside, locate your main radar and look in its direction. This is of course you see what looks to be chemtrails on a regular bases in your area. When big events happen like a Prominent Senator dying in a plane wreck, go check the satellite and radars. Especially pay close attention to everything come election time. Low Voter turnout is going to be needed for Bush on that night so watch and see how much rain/snow or even cold hits the US and see if you can correlate it to odd radar activity.

Again he is bringing up the chemtrail conspiracy to try to prop up his theory which, on its own, has failed completely.

Owning weather by the oil/energy trade is a cash cow. Just by making it cold a few days early in the fall will cause people to switch their thermostats from cool to heat. Even if it is on automatic you are now switched over to continue the milking of money. See the California Crisis for an example of this behavior.

Now he is saying that weather control is in the hands of not the government, but the oil/energy companies (although people like him tend to think of them as one and the same).

To put the ease on those who are reading this, I am not going to do a huge cut and paste job to score points on every sentence. You may be on the up and up but I have to tell you this is usually the tactic of a disinformant.

Here he is suggesting that just because I take him to task point-by-point on each aspect of his previous message that I am some kind of "disinformant." What it really comes down to is the fact that most conspiracy theorists are bothered when their theory is subject to critical, point-by-point analysis. Their theories aren't built for that kind of analysis but rather are built for those that read a theory, digest it, and accept it as a whole rather than thinking critically about any specific part of it.

I will also admit that your line of question was not very impressive. You skirt some basic questions and an ability to catch my drift. You may very well be too technical for your own good. Vice verse could be said for me.

I may be "too technical for my own good?" He is making some far-reaching allegations based on some dubious theories. What his theory needs is a technical, scientific analysis. To suggest that I am "too technical" is almost an admission that the theory isn't up to snuff as a valid, scientific theory.

I am a bit thrown that you do not even know of things that are on my site and that you never bothered to contact we. Instead I hear about this from someone in here who did the simple thing of hitting the CONTACT button on my site. Kudos indeed!

He has taken my analysis and study of the radar anomalies personally. I never intended (originally) to enter a debate with him, but rather to debate it with others in the forum. The fact that I may or may not know of things that are on his site are primarily due to two reasons: 1) His site is very poorly organized and is a mish-mash of conspiracy links. There is no overall logical flow that I could ascertain that would give me an idea of what I need to read to understand his theories. 2) My original study was not on every aspect of his conspiracy theory but rather just the radar anomalies. I saw and see no reason to explore his theories further until he can at least explain why the radar anomalies are something other than radar anomalies.

A 2 week study for anomalies was a waste of time and hopefully not of someone's money. I layed out the specifics of radar control that is not found on my site. You cannot challenge those without a decent amount of daily watching and observing.

As I mentioned above, the 2-week study was enough to witness the anomalies he talked about regarding Billings and Reno. There is no evidence nor suggestion that watching either of these sites for more time is going to lead to the observation of any new anomalies and the anomalies that were already observed have been satisfactorily explained.

Radar anomalies at this juncture of the game are far and few. Billings, North Platte, Nevada and a few scattered blast are all that is caught.

Agreed. Quality control in the NEXRAD network has improved over time.

Your observation of calibrations holds no water. I heard that line early in the game and accepted it on face value by my own observation proved otherwise. I know for a fact that these blast have affected the air as well!

He claims to know it for a fact yet has not explained how he knows it or how it supposedly works.

My common sense tells me that more than 10% need to be callibrated so under your view I should, in 3 years, seen those other radars be callibrated.

No, because generally when a radar is calibrated it is taken offline so that a No Radar status is returned. If he's been watching the national radar composite or if he's watching non-NOAA services (such as WeatherTap), it is entirely possible he will not see these messages. The point isn't that radars are no longer being calibrated but rather that when they are calibrated they are now more frequently taken offline correctly. Thus "blasts" are now far less common.

The earths axis is steering more towards longer days and warmer weather. Why now are we getting some of the coldest air now? Is the electricity, that we produce from radar, drawing more cold down? Why did the southern radars jump up in electricity? As far as I can tell this cold is just now coming down.

The date of this comment was February 13th, 2004. The average temperature for Dallas is lowest in December, January and February. The same is true for Denver, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and virtually every other city in the U.S. February is part of winter! It is not at all surprising that it is cold out.

Not to mention a little over a week before this particular suggestion that getting cold weather "this late" was somehow strange, he had said that we had had an early cold spell this year. So which is it? Did the cold come early or did the cold come late? Is winter weather only permissible in December? His own comments contradict each other!

Good ole galveston texas. GALVESTON, Texas (Feb. 15) - A Carnival Cruise Lines ship returned from a five-day cruise to Mexico on Saturday with more than 300 people sick with a gastrointestinal illness.

He doesn't make any specific claims here, but I get the impression that he is insinuating that radar anomalies could have something to do with this. This would be an interesting theory given that the people who returned to Galveston had been on the high seas and in Mexico for the previous 5 days... quite out of reach of any "radar anomalies."

"Today we have had some blasting out of idaho and also the energy is back up to full power after being in a step down mode for a week."

And from this message (Mon Mar 15, 2004 6:17 am)

"Here is a long animation I received in an email today. It shows a cloud donut form right before the Idaho Blast. Watch how it forms and how it goes away after the blast."

I had been waiting to see if he was going to mention this anomaly. NAADP cautred it here on March 14, 2004 at 12:57pm Central Time. Of course, there's nothing suspicious about it. Within a couple hours the following Free Text Message had been issued by the radar site: "THE POCATELLO RADAR IS EXPERIENCING RETURN PROBLEMS. THE TECHS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIE D AND REPAIRS ARE ESTIMATED BY 15/00Z."

I emailed the radar site operator asking him about the problems (before the FTM above went out) and got the following response:

    Subject: Radar

ksfx experienced some hardware problems this weekend. These problems should be resolved.

Nothing suspicious going on and Pocatello recognized the fact within hours of the problem.
